Why do leaders need to change? Just to remain leaders, and to rejuvenate showing themselves stronger than the competition. Thus, Aguazul needed a complete face lift including its logo, label and PET bottles structural design. Both the client and Tridimage knew they could create a truly distinctive 3D brand identity to consolidate Aguazul's leadership.
The design elements of the new bottles include a distinctive silhouette that gives the bottle a solid shelf presence. Tridimage also redesigned the logo and label graphics to make a strong statement about what the brand embodies.
To start the creative process, it was indispensable to deeply understand the company, the work culture, the available technology, the facilities, as well as the technical specifications. Tridimage's first trip to Honduras was intended to meet the different company divisions, listen to their needs, and address concerns regarding this vital project. Being the first packaging design agency abroad that Aguazul worked with, it was a challenging task for both parties.
Tridimage supported the client during the final stages, supervising the new bottle production developed according to the technical needs of the filling line, and overseeing the final details of the label printing process directly in Honduras. These fine points ensured that both the structural and graphic design accurately translated the brand concept crafted during the creative exploration.
The new PET bottle design for Aguazul was launched in 2013, reaffirming the brand's market leadership and positioning it at the forefront of the competition. The structural design of the bottle is anchored in the concept of "osmosis," the technological principle behind water purification. Tridimage's redesign of Aguazul's 3D packaging identity, integrating structural and graphic design, managed to communicate the high technology behind the treatment and bottling of Aguazul water.
This innovative design by Tridimage was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2014. This prestigious award recognizes well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. The Aguazul PET bottle design was respected for integrating industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, providing fulfillment and positive feelings, and contributing to a better world.
